How can I tell if my UV light is working?

To test that the UV light is working, press the weight-activated foot on the base.  You should see a light blue/green glow emanating inside the base. The handle needs to be docked during this process if this doesn't work, please contact TAO Clean Customer Service at support@taoclean.com for assistance.

How do I switch brush modes? How can I tell which mode I am in?

To change brush modes, press the smaller button on the brush handle.  You should be able to hear/feel the difference in spin speed. The regular cleansing mode spins faster than the sensitive mode, allowing for deeper exfoliation.

How long does the brush take to dry?

The drying time of the brush will take 2-6 hours. Drying time depends on room humidity and how much water remains on the brush head when placed in the base. Brush heads that are shaken off before placed in the base will dry faster.

There is no fan, there is a small heater in the base that warms the air in the chamber near the UV lamp. This creates a chimney effect where the warm air leaves the base around the 1 mm gap between the handle and the base.

Does it have to stay plugged in all the time?

Leave the Germ Shield plugged in order for the sanitizing feature to work properly. The UVC powered Germ Shield sanitizes for 12 minutes once the handle is placed in the base,and then cycles again every 12 hours for 12 minutes. The brush itself will hold a charge for up to two weeks without being docked. If it doesn’t stay plugged in then the Germ Shield base is unable to kill 99.9% of germs.

How often do I need to change my brush head?

We recommend changing the daily care brush head, on average, every 3 months. The Silicone Brush Head, Exfoliation, and the Body Brush head can be replaced every 6 months. 

Do I need to use a cleanser with the brush?

Yes, a cleanser is necessary. We recommend using your own optimized cleanser. Do not use any that have sharp pieces meant for exfoliating. Place the cleaner on your face first, and then apply the powered brush to your face as outlined in the instruction manual.

Why isn't my brush cleaner turning on?

Check to make sure the system is properly plugged in, if the base is not lighting up try a different power block or USB port. If the brush cleaner still isn't running, contact customer service.

Is my Ona Diamond Facial Brush waterproof?

The Ona Diamond Facial Brush is fully submersible.  You can use it in the bathtub or shower.

Why isn't my brush turning on?

Check to make sure the system is properly plugged in and the brush is charging. If the base is working, contact customer service for a replacement handle.

What do the different color base lights mean?

The pulsing blue light signifies the UV sanitizing cycle for 12 minutes every 12 hours. It turns to a solid white light after that process. If it doesn’t stay plugged in then the Germ Shield base cannot kill 99.9% of germs.

Is my Umma Diamond Sonic Toothbrush waterproof?

The brush handle is water-resistant, so you can brush your teeth in the shower. We do not recommend submerging it in water.

Why is my toothbrush head changing colors?

The white brush heads may change in color because of prolonged exposure to UV light which can happen after about 2 months. Charcoal and other colored toothpastes can stain the brush heads but do not change their effectiveness.

Why are my brushes still wet?

Please make sure the base is plugged in at all times and the brush is seated properly, shaking off any excess moisture before putting it back into the base. The drying time of the brush will take 2-6 hours.

Why won’t the UV light turn on?

If the UV light isn’t working, make sure that the sanitizer is on a flat, even surface. The sanitizer must be on a flat surface for the safety tab to properly depress. The toothbrush bristles must also be facing the door and the door must be fully shut. If the UV light doesn’t automatically activate, the batteries may be dead.

Does it need to be plugged in?

The toothbrush sanitizer is powered by (2) AA batteries. It does not require being plugged in.

Why is the light glowing red?

When the indicator light glows red, it is time to replace the batteries.

Can multiple people use it?

Multiple people are able to use the toothbrush sanitizer. We recommend cleaning the system with a soft cloth for best results.

How long is the cleaning cycle?

Each sanitizing cycle is 4 minutes. After the cycle finishes, the blue indicator light will switch off. 

How does it dry the brush?

This product does not include a drying feature.

Can it be used with any kind of toothbrush?

The toothbrush sanitizer will sterilize any and all sizes and types of toothbrushes both electric and manual.

I have not received my shipment and tracking says it was delivered, what do I do?

Please wait 36-48 hours after delivery notification is received then contact TAO Clean Customer Service by emailing support@taoclean.com and be sure to provide your shipping address. We will send out your order again with a signature request so we can ensure it gets received!

My tracking says delivery status: Pending. What do I do?

If it’s been over a week, it is most likely lost in transit, and we can send out your order again. But if it was recently shipped let’s give it a few more days for the status to clear.  If nothing changes, please contact TAO Clean Customer Service by emailing support@taoclean.com.
